From 1985 – 1990 Paulina Komorowska-Birger studied in the Faculty of Ceramics and Glass at the State College of Fine Arts (currently Academy of Fine Arts) in Wroclaw, graduating in 1990. By 2012 she had attained the position of Professor of Art. She has worked in higher education in Zielona Góra since 1992, serving in the Faculty of Art at the University of Zielona Góra as vice-director of the Institute of Art and Visual Culture (1999-2002), head of the Chair of Art and Visual Culture (2005-2008) and Vice-Dean responsible for student affairs (2008-2012). She also became director of the Department(2015-2016). She currently runs an artistic glass workshop and a drawing and intermedia studio in the Department of Visual Arts in the Faculty of Art at the University of Zielona Góra.
She is the author of about 20 individual exhibitions and has participated in about 60 collective exhibitions.
Works in the collections of: the National Museum in Poznań, the Museum of Lubuska Land in Zielona Góra, in the collection of Lubuska Zachęta, The Studio Corning Museum of Glass, Corning, NY, USA, Ao Dai Museum Ho Chi Minth Vietnam and in private collections.
