Marta Gendera is an art historian, curator, lecturer at the Institute of Visual Arts of the University of Zielona Góra. President of the Salony Foundation (since 2011), former director of the Miejski Osrodek Sztuki municipal art centre in Gorzów Wielkopolski (2016–2021). In her curatorial practice, she often deals with art in relation to public space. She has curated individual and group exhibitions at BWA Gallery (Zielona Góra), BWA Studio (Wrocław), Miejski Ośrodek Sztuki (Gorzów Wielkopolski), Zona Sztuki Aktualnej, the Brandenburg State Museum of Modern Art (Frankfurt/Oder), or the Avant-Garde Institute (Warsaw), among other venues. She was co-curator of Renewal. Biennale Zielona Góra 2022.
